Pie Crust

Ingredients

½ C chilled butter
3 T shortening

2 C all-purpose flour
½ tsp. salt
5-6 T cold water

Directions

Make crust by placing butter and shortening in a large bowl.  Add flour and salt.  Mix butter into flour with your hands, rolling between fingers until you have an even mixture of coarse crumbs.  Add water in center, mixing with index finger in a spiraling motion.  Roll dough out on a floured surface to form a circle large enough to fit pie pan.  Fold dough in half, place in pan, then unfold. Repeat if needed for top crust.
