DirectionsMix flour into cold water and stir until smooth. Set aside. Heat oil in wok or large skillet. Add onion and bell pepper; stir-fry until soft. Add meat and stir-fry until no longer pink. Drain excess fat. Add chili powder, tomatoes, beans, jalapeno peppers, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes. Stir in flour-water mixture. Simmer until sauce thickens. Season with salt to taste. Serve topped with grated cheese. Makes 6 to 8 servings. |
